If you’ve ever wandered through the scenic landscapes of Byron Bay, you might have crossed paths with this striking creature. From foraging through the scrublands near the lighthouse to strolling around the lively streets of Byron, Grom is the embodiment of the adventurous spirit that fueled the pioneering surf culture of the ’60s. Our Surfin’ Bird Skate Collection pays tribute to this culture and the insatiable thirst for adventure that drove it. Our designs draw inspiration from the pioneering spirit of skateboarding, when surfers took to the streets on flat days to surf the sidewalks instead, exploring unchartered territory without maps or plans, embodying the essence of being a ‘Grom’ and a student on the journey of life. With our Surfin’ Bird Skate Collection, you can embrace your adventurous spirit and show the world your passion for surfing and skateboarding, just like Grom;)

Our transfers are Australian made and printed on recyclable PET sheets using water-based inks that are gentle on the environment, reducing the use of harmful chemicals when compared to traditional screen printing processes. Our transfers have also been made harnessing the power of solar energy during manufacture, prioritizing production during the core of the day when solar energy is most abundant. We partner with suppliers who have obtained the OEKO-TEX certification to ensure our materials are not only sustainable, but also safe for our customers and the environment. Our garments are a high-quality organic cotton that is free from harmful pesticides and herbicides, and certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).
